Display options for Mac Mini M1

Ok now I have a 2017 21.5" iMac, 16gb ram, 512gb SSD. Looking at either M1 Mini or 24" iMac. I do not need the larger 24" size and it has far fewer options I need than an M1 Mini. Can get M1 Mini for ex. 16gb ram, 512gb SSD, with either 1gb or 10gb Ethernet port, 2 Thunderbold USB4 ports, an HDMI port and 2 USB A ports. For my needs the Mini while lower cost has all the features I need but which "affordable" displays would match well with it? Have had iMacs about 5 years now do not know good display matches. 20" to 22" would compare to current size. Need help.

Yes you can connect most any size Display to the M1 Mac Mini.

Personally I prefer using dual 21.5" displays instead of one large display with my Mac Mini.

You're welcome.

While there did seem to be some reported issues with large and unusual format displays, I believe that Apple has made huge efforts in fixing those issues.

Plus from what I've seen around here, there are very few folks that are having issues with standard 21.5" 22" and 24" external displays.

In addition to that, the M1 Mac Mini uses the same chip as the M1 iMac and MacBook, so IMHO it is the better deal because you can use most any display.

Thanks. I don't use any kind of camera of course my current iMac has one. I also run my audio out via USB normally to external amp and speakers. I did see on the Web where some types of monitors had issues with the M1 refresh rate I think but the major ones have updated software or firmware when needed to address. I have settled (for now) on a 24" Viewsonic with multiple inputs including HDMI and USB C inputs once Amazon gets some in.
