updating credit card details

I cannot update my credit card on my payment and shipping option it just keeps updating. The card currently linked has expired

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

Have you gotten a message that your account is disabled? See→If you see a message that says 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes' - Apple Support

If a card has expired you need to add a new card, then delete the expired card→Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods - Apple Support

No I haven't gotten that message. But my phone storage is full, that is why I urgently need to update my card details so I can upgrade to the next iCloud storage
