Downloaded Big Sur to comparable iMac and it will not reboot

I downloaded Big Sur to a compatible iMac. However, it will not reboot. I tried safe mode, first aid, memory reset, and every other online trick. Will not work please help

Which exact model is your iMac? What version of macOS was it running prior to installing Big Sur? Did you perform a complete backup BEFORE updating/upgrading to Big Sur?


Did you perform a "clean" install, i.e., completely erased the system drive, and then, installed Big Sur, or just performed an upgrade? For either, where was the source that you got Big Sur from?
