No more click and drag and drop

This morning, when I used my Macbook as usual, I suddenly found I was unable to use the drag and drop feature on it. After I did the research, I found I need to enable dragging and choose one of dragging ways. Be honestly, I none of them are user friendly to me. I took around 20 minutes to capture drag with & without lock, unfortunately, I didn't pick it up eventually. I had no choice now, but to use drag with 3 fingers, this means I need to give up swipe up to show control panel by 3 fingers. Then, this gesture will be replaced by swipe up by 4 fingers. I know it sounds funny, but I have a shorter little finger. 4 finger gesture is not a friendly gesture for me. Additionally, I don't understand why Apply give the traditional click and drag gesture! It is natural gesture for most laptop users.

If you have an Intel Mac, try resetting NVRAM and/or the SMC. If you have an M1 Mac, try shutting down, wait 30 seconds then power it up.
