Screen recording with sound

I’ve recently had a facetime call which i screen recorded and the video itself is completely fine but i have no sound at all. I have microphone switch on (see above) but still no sound at all. Every post i’ve read on several different forums suggest to turn mic on but even with it on i have no sound. Any ideas/suggestions as to why i still have no sound?

Surely that depends on the country. In Canada, it is NOT illegal to record a conversation or video to which you are a party, EVEN IF the other person is unaware. What is illegal is to record a conversation surreptitiously to which you are not a party. I wish Apple would realize this and allow for video recordings with audio.
