There are web sites that will return that information from your serial number but some people do not trust them.


I use a free-standing battery reporting app, Coconut Battery (https://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/). It is intended to monitor and track changes to your notebook's battery but it also reads the computer's date of manufacture to within a week.


I'm now up to using Coconut Flavor on my fourth Mac notebook and it is a well-behaved app. It only runs when you tell it to run so it leaves no background processes running, doesn't "phone home," is stable and, based on my years of using it, secure.


I also have it installed on the desktop Mac to which I back up four iDevices. It reads the battery condition of the iDevice and tracks it as well when I connect for backups and updates.
