2016 Macbook Pro - Horizontal Lines on Screen? Go away after 10 or so mins?

Hi, wondering if people can help

I have a 2016 macbook pro touchbar.

I have suddenly started getting horizontal lines on the top portion of my screen, these have progressively gotten worse to the point i have lines across my whole screen when i first turn the laptop on, the screen is also very laggy.

I have done some reseach and most people are getting this isssue after a while of use where the macbook gets hot, however I get this when the laptop is cold when i first boot up and after about 5-10 mins the lines go completely.

I have reset SMC and PRAM with no change and also taken a screenshot of the lines, the screenshot shows no lines so does this point to a screen issue? or another hardware issue?

Pics attached

Thanks

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4

Hi,

Try to check your screen with Apple Diagnostics if it reports Display or Graphic Processor related error(VFD001 to VFD007).
