We appreciate you giving it a try, akgulm,

Since you're still experiencing the same behavior after updating and deleting and reinstalling Maps, we'd suggest that you back up your iPhone, restore it to factory settings, which will erase your iPhone completely, then test your Maps app again. We'd recommend that when you restore your iPhone to factory settings, you do so while your iPhone is connected to your computer. This will ensure that your iOS is erased and a new iOS will be installed. If you're able to use Maps as you'd expect, you can then restore your iPhone backup. We've included articles below which will take you through the complete process:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Take care!

Hi akgulm,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We understand that when you attempt to search in Maps, the app unexpectedly quits, is that right? We see that you've reviewed Contact Apple for support and service as well.

Check out the steps you can take to help isolate this behavior further here: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
