Where did vertical text options go?

Hi everyone. I can't for the life of me find the option to make text vertical. I followed the steps in the article posted by Apple, but the options just aren't there.

I'm using Keynote version 11.2 (7032.0.145) on an M1 Macbook Pro.

Anyone have any idea where the option to make text vertical went?

Have you installed a supported language to allow vertical text?

Use vertical text on Mac

To use vertical text, add Chinese, Japanese, or Korean as a preferred language for your Mac:

  1. Go to System Preferences, then select Language and Region.
  2. Click the Add button  at the bottom of the list, then choose Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.
