iPhone not working in Honda Fit

I have a Honda Fit 2015 & I have tried connecting directly to my car through the apple cord that it came with an adapter and it does not charge the phone or play in my car. It does work (the adapter) in my home so it’s not the adapter. Bluetooth does not work either. It won’t recognize the phone. Is this happening to anyone else??? Thank you

We have a 2016 Fit and our iPhones charge with no issues through either the USB port on the dash or the "cigarette lighter" output in the middle storage area between the seats.

I have not tried ours with Bluetooth. Read this document --> How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car - Apple Support

It guides you to a model availability page with a long list of models. The page somewhat unhelpfully does not include the actual makes such as "Honda" only models. If you search for "Fit" you will see it mentions support for 2018 models on.

You may find that if your model has a line-in jack that you could attach the headphone output to the jack and just play music back through the sound system using that. On our 2016 Fit I can plug a thumb drive into the USB port and just play music files (mp3 no problem, AAC sometimes iffy) that way.

Our 2016 has USB on the dash but I think it just has a 12V power soures in the console (frankly I so rarely use it I would have to go outside and check but I am remembering having a dual USB adapter in the console). I don't even bother using an iPhone to play music, I just copy files to a flash drive and use the Honda media player (pretty primitive) to play the files.

Can you get another person to see if they can connect their device? That's how you'd see if it was an iPhone issue or an issue with your car's system.
