Apple and Apple stores ONLY do in/out of warranty device replacements.

ONLY if you have an iPad that you have paid for two-year, extended AppleCare+ warranty plan and that two-year plan is STILL valid and in effect.

Under the paid, two-year plan, a device replacement will cost $49 U.S.D..

The free, lmited one-year AppleCare ( NO + sign ) does NOT cover ANY accidental/incidental device damages caused by the user.

So, a device replacement will be far more expensive, costing you approx. 60% of the original cost of the device.
