Extra display 'too sharp' from MacBook Pro - odd?

Hello all,

Just bought an Iiyama 27” display; ProLite XUB2792QSN.

Its connected to me MBP via USBC so it displays and charges the Mac. Handy!

However, it’s too sharp! Text is slightly ‘jagged’ and editing in iMovie my footage

seems sharper too. Ive reduced the sharpness to zero on the display doesn’t seem

to do anything.

Letters like W and V you can see the ‘steps’ on the verticals. Even typing this it looks

way too sharp almost as if it needs Anti-aliasing.

There is no setting as such in prefs to sort this and the resolution is set at 2560x1440.

No higher version available as it’s a 2k display.

My MBP is 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, from 2018.   Big Sur.

Reluctant to drop the USBC as I like the way it charges the mac, but any advice really appreciated!

Thanks eveyone

Dave

OK just in case anyone else has this issue - Ive solved it.

The 'sharp' setting within display goes from 1 to 6 - I had this one 1 thinking less sharp. No, throw it up to 5 (more soft) and the jagged edges have gone. Simple after all :D
