To replace the Lightning port, Apple’s standard repair charges apply. If you have an active AppleCare+ plan, being an insurance product, you’ll pay a small excess/deductible charge. For an out-of-warranty repair, the charge is c.60% of the “as new” price of the iPad.

In both cases, Apple’s standard procedure is to offer exchange for a reconditioned iPad of the same model and specification - which you will keep.

Apple Stoes DO NOT repair iPads.

To expedite speedy customer service, Apple stores ONLY do in/out of warranty iPad replacement.

If NO paid, extended AppleCare+ warrsnty plan, for this iPad, device replacement WILL BE expensive, at approx. 60% of that iPad’s original price.

If this iPad is relatively new ( within two years ) and has a paid, AppleCare+ warranty service plan, device replacement will caryy a small replacement device fee of $49 US.D..

Good Luck to You!
