Apple watch doesn't charge

Appple Watch 7 - when I connect it to the charger, the green charging mark appears, but it never charges the watch, unless I reboot it.

Turning off optimized charging doesn't help either.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

If those don't help, since it must be a fairly new watch, I wouldn't do much more than that on your own. It should still be under warranty. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar in an Apple Store near you and let them look at it. They have advanced diagnostics that we don't have. If that is not possible, use the online Apple Support option. Either way:
