Live photos in memories

When I first had a memory created for my photos of the day, the result was amazing as it used a lot of live photos for the memory (not only still photos).

Ever since then, memories have been almost entirely made up of still photos, no live photos being used, and I am unable to edit this.

Is there a way to force memories in Photos to use the "live" version of the photos?

I'm not looking to export multiple live photos as videos and edit them manually in iMovie.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 15

Hello Michelle,

I appreciate the response but those articles hold no information regarding LIVE photos in memories.

I do get the occasional one live photo video out of 20 in the memory, but it’s never the one I would’ve wanted. How can I adjust that?

Thanks for the update. The photos app automatically curates these memories. There's no setting to add more live photos. Feel free to provide feedback to Apple here: Product Feedback - Apple
