Can magnetic 3 dot smart connector interfere with 1st gen Pencil

Im using my iPad (9th gen) with a third party cover which has an Apple Pencil holder on the left side, next to the smart connector. Can the magnets from the smart connector interfere or damage the first gen Pencil?

The Smart Connector will have no impact upon your Apple Pencil.
