When trying to install update ios 14.8.1 I keep getting message "software update failed" an error occurred downloading ios 14.8.1 how do I proceed?

Make sure:


  1. You have a good WiFi connection.
  2. You are not using a VPN.
  3. You have at least 6GB of free space.
  4. You have at least a 50% battery charge and preferably you are connected to power.
  5. Low Power mode is turned off.
