USB Hub to Mouse/Keyboard Cable

All my ports are full so I need an adapter to connect from a standard USB hub to the mouse/keyboard charger cable. I think it would be a male USB for the hub and a female USB-C for the cable but I'm unsure. Thanks

What does the iMac have as "USB" inputs. If it has the older retangular which are USB type A the the hub has to have an input for a type A prot. If it has the new oval USB port then you need a hub with a USB type C input. If the hum has USB type C output port you can get a USB cmail to USB Afemial adopter.

However, noet that not hubs work with Monterey even though they work with Big Sur. See:

It's a new 24" iMac with USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. The hub is connected to the computer with a Type A to Type C adapter. I can connect to the hub with the printer and a USB to iPhone cable, etc. So I need a male USB to female USB-C to connect the mouse/keyboard cable. Hope that's clear. When I look for an adapter I'm not sure by looking at them and am confused by the descriptions. Thanks.

Here is the hub I purchased for my M1 Mac Air. It has a USB-C built-in cable that connects to the Mac and has a USB-C input for charging the Mac. It also has 2 USB3 type a ports and one USB2 type A ports and some other ports. It works fine for M1 Mac Air on Monterey.

Mice and keyboards type ically have USB type a male connectors that would connect to this hub.
