I copy pasted the literal serial number from the "About this Mac, and I get a "This serial number is invalid" response for my 2015 MacBook Pro 13" 256MB... I'm attempting to do an Apple Trade In.

If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
