Download the Installer from Apple:

Tips Big Sir Upgrade

There have been some reports of the same thing but if following the advise from previous posting should work fine. Should one attempt the Big Sur download and be presented with Monterey, use the Get Info and inside it, probably will see one is actually getting Big Sur.
