iPad Safari

Since the last update Safari opens in a separate column on the left side of the screen on my iPad..how do I get rid of this or get rid of the things that are listed.

Are you referring to the Safari sidebar?


First, ensure that you have updated to iPadOS 15.1 - as this resolves a functional problem with the sidebar.


The Sidebar is opened/closed with the Sidebar button at top-left of the screen:
