I purchased and saved all my music in iTunes on my iMac and it is all gone. I haven't been able to retrieve even one song in 2 or more years since the Catalina upgrade. I hate apple music. I want to buy music I want and don't care about any subscription, so apple takes away ALL my music. Disgusting.

Apple didn't take away your music. If you had it downloaded and in your personal library, it will still be there. Of course, it's been two years, you may have moved the music or done something with the folder.
Check the music folder in your user folder
Do a spotlight search for the name of one of your songs
Open the Music app and review the items under library
Check a Time Machine backup (again, if it's been two years the oldest backups may have fallen off)
