I need a USB-A to USB-C lightning cable for my iPad Pro 12.9”

Hi, I’m needing an USB-A to USB-C lightning cable for my IPad Pro 12.9” I have bought eBay ones before and they just don’t charge properly. This is an issue as I use my iPad while I’m away and only have USB ports to charge from. Thanks brad

USB-C and Lightning connectors are both physically and electrically very different. Perhaps you are actually looking for a USB Type-A to USB-C cable - and not a Lightning cable.

Be aware that when charging from a USB Type-A power source, your iPad charging rate will be limited to 12W (i.e., 2.4A @5V).

Your iPad supports USB PD (Power Delivery) Fast Charging when used with a compatible USB-C Power Adapter - and can charge far more rapidly at 18-20W.

If, by a “12V Socket Option” you refer to a 12V socket found in many cars - these are available from third-party manufacturers.

Mophie are a good/reputable source - and are marketed by Apple. Note that you have a choice of USB Type-A, Dual USB Type-A, USB-C and a combo’ option with both a single USB Type-A and USB-C.
