Downloading older version of Pages

I have an ancient iMac (mid-2011) which can only run High Sierra, but now I can't download any of the standard software: Pages, Numbers, etc. (no idea how they became uninstalled).

Is there a software archive somewhere? The current versions simply won't run on this machine.

Go to your Time Machine backup for High Sierra and see if these applications are located in the /Applications folder for past backups. High Sierra required Pages v7.3 thru v8.1.

Apple provides no downloads area for users to retrieve past versions of Pages, Numbers, or Keynote. Current (v11.2) applications require that you have macOS 11.* (Big Sur), or later installed, and that is not in the cards for a mid-2011 iMac.

You can launch the Mac App Store while signing in with the same Apple ID used to download earlier versions of Pages. Press the option key while clicking on the App Store's Purchases tab. Click the Update button on Pages. You will receive a dialog stating that you need a newer version of macOS. Then, afterward, you may receive another dialog asking to provide you with the last compatible version of Pages for High Sierra. If not, you are done. If true, then repeat that for Numbers and Keynote.
