installment plan

I'm new to apple. I applied for an apple card for the sole purpose of buying a Macbook Pro. I now have an apple card with an amazingly low credit limit. My question is does the credit limit on my apple card need to be high enough to cover the full price of the Macbook or just the amount of the monthly installments. I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. This will affect my plans of getting a mac.

Your credit limit (available credit) needs to be high enough to cover the full cost of the purchase, not the amount of the monthly installment.
