How to get past the lock code

I bought an iPad Air off a friend and the passcode I’ve been told to use isn’t working and it keeps disabling the iPad itself…. I need help on what to do?! Can I do a basic factory reset and just reset it…? I need help ASAP!!

Remember one thing before restoring your device you should no apple id and password.


Remove the passcode on an iPad without a Home button 


  1. Connect your iPad to your computer.
  2. Press and hold the top button and either volume button until the power-off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPad. 
  3. Hold down the top button. Keep holding the top button until you see the recovery mode screen.
  4. If you backed up your iPad, restore your data and settings after you remove the passcode.

  1. Make sure that your iPad isn't connected to your computer.
  2. Press and hold the top button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPad.
  3. Connect your iPad to your computer while holding down the Home button. Keep holding the Home button until you see the recovery mode screen.
  4. If you backed up your iPad, restore your data and settings after you remove the passcode.
