how to back up iphone xr with broken screen

iPhone XR screen got shattered last night. The power works on the phone, screen lights up—but only colored lines are visible. Clearly the phone is broken, but want to back up pictures on phone before getting new phone. Phone hasn't been backed up in awhile. Is there a way to back up to iTunes without having to use phone to verify? Face ID and touchscreen not usable. Siri is disabled. Is there a way to verify the broken device through another device via Family Sharing? Thanks for any suggestions...new phone wasn't on the Christmas wish list.
