greetings

Greeting and blessings-

Mi gonna be as descriptive as possible here to provide all details-

Mi relocated from ATLANTA GA TO BEAUTIFUL RIO BRASIL on December 29,2019- On that same flight my Mac book in all my athlete performance equipment was stolen off COPA AIRLINES 'NEVER USE THIS AIR LINES'...NEVER! The airline barely covered $800 and all my things total easily over 15K!

MI had an old MacBook that suited me just find doing mi music! one of the music guys MI trained gave mi a copy of the top 'WAVES PLUGINS' along with tons of other PLUG INS!

Fast forward....Its too expensive in BRAZIL to buy a MacBook...Even an older one will cost you 4 to 5 times as much then what you would pay in the states. If you ship one from USA 'WHICH MOST COMPANIES WON'T SHIP TO BRAZIL' You're looking at 4Xtimes the import taxes!

I finally purchased a REFURBISHED MACBOOK 13 INCH LATE 2009 WITH HIGH SIERRA 10.3---On NOVEMBER 20-2020--The process was- ship from the guy in San Francisco selling the refurbished Macs, to my girl friend in ATLANTA, Then she shipped to a friend in HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA, who was making a trip to RIO BRASIL and he walked it in for mi...Very extensive process!

The App Store keeps showing MI can download 10.3.6 yet MI have tried at least 4 times. Each download too over 4 hours 4x!

When MI try to INSTALL everything will go smoothly, then a notice says 'SOME UPDATES COULD NOT COMPLETE AUTOMATICALLY!' Tried installing a few times has took as many as three days and stayed stuck at the end of the bar and I FINALLY WAS TOLD BY AN APPLE REP TO CANCEL INTERNET RECOVERY. MI did it on my on with the same result, STUCK ANOTHER THREE DAYS! Mi don't think this can do 'INTERNET RECOVERY' because mi never seen a GLOBE or title saying 'INTERNET RECOVERY TOOLS' like mi have read. mi think what the rep told mi to do was just actually the INSTALLMENT TAKING PLACE. The first attempt was about 48 hours stuck at END BAR COMPLETION!

I only need 13.3.6 to be able to use GARAGE BAND 10.3. When I try to INSTALL GARAGE BAND, its says' HIGH SIERRA' 13.3.6 is needed. I am even Kool wit going to an even OLDER OPERATING SYSTEM IF NECESSARY! MI been working on this music ep, self titled 'RISPEKTIVELY" ALL GENRES for 4 years now! Working with producers around the globe through the pandemic! A lot of people are waiting for the release that mi had to push back a few times. I HAVE GARAGE BAND 11 ON MY IPHONE 7 PLUS but the files are starting to weigh it down, so I need to store some of those files on this Mac for the two albums following, that are also already done! Born writer of 50K songs are written! MI NEED TO START RELEASING THIS MUSIC OUT INTO THE WORLD!

Can somebody advise me on what to do? nothing is working far as installation, yet the App Store keeps showing 10.3.6 IS AVAILABLE...this is very confusing.

DO I NEED TO GO TO SNOW LEOPARD PERHAPS? If so can somebody supply a garage band and some updates anything would be helpful. I've wasted money already on calling cards calling APPLE SUPPORT! MI do appreciate them attempting to solve the problem but also, three different reps gave mi conflicting info! Two men said, MI could upgrade to 'CATALINA" One woman said THIS MAC CAN'T UPGRADE TO CATALINA.

Mi know garage band like the back of my hand, mi can make awesome songs with it, using different plugins. Mi tried DISK UTILITY CHECK---EVERYTHING IS FINE ON THE DISK- GREEN CHECK MARK!

One more thing which is weird-

Some times after installation in the message "SOME UPDATES COULD NOT BE INSTALLED AUTOMATICALLY" It will show a message of 'NO UPDATES AVAILABLE" sometimes updates are available. If they are not, if MI push command+R it will then show the updates. But not always the same updates. MI have tried installing 10.3.1 10.3.4 10.3.5 ALL ENDED WITH THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE, 'SOME UPDATES COULD NOT BE INSTALLED AUTOMATICALLY!" CHECK THE DETAILS...do you wish to install now or late, MI feeling like 'BILL MURRAY' AND GROUND HOG DAY lol

Any help to resolve this and get a working 'GARAGE BAND" is appreciated!

one more thing-PLENTY OF HARD DRIVE STORAGE- 227 GB LEFT ON 250 GB DRIVE

If you get a corrupted message...

Naw, not damaged, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, there are 2 cures...

Disconnect from the Internet & set the Date back to 2014, then you can run the Install MacsOS High Sierra App in Applications, so expired Certificates are not expired.

Or... trash the Install MacsOS High Sierra.app in Applications, empty trash & restart, then a new copy of a more recent version can be downloaded…

mi usually pretty good following instructions however, mi don’t even see where an OLD COPY could be an APPLICATIONS unless me not looking in the right file. Mi don’t even see a OS/HIGH SIERRA in APPLICATIONS. Di guy who has been selling these on EBAY had to INSTALL some way right? But mi don’t see anything! All me see is the DISK IMAGES OF 10.3.2- 10.3.3 10.3.4 10.3.5 10.3.6 dats mi personally downloaded off internet. Apple finally got back to me with an option of ERASE AN INSTALL or take it into an APPLE STORE..,DATS MI LAST OPTION!

Mi Gwan try the set the time and date shut off wifi option first and then proceed per your instructions 👍🏾

Big ups again for all yuh help 🤜🏾🤛🏾
