I've migrated to from a last generation MBP to a new M1 Max MBP. Most of the migration was very smooth, but for some reason in Finder when I click on color tags, none of the files that have those colors assigned show up. If I navigate to them in their directory, they still have the colour tag assigned. If I assign a color to a new file, that file does show up in the Finder tags.

The tags are attached to the files which are indexed by Spotlight. It may just be that Spotlight hasn't finished indexing the files.
If it has stopped indexing, but still not tags, you might try reindexing Spotlight.
