Is there some way to forward an email from gmail to Notes?

I'm considering defecting from Evernote now that Apple Notes has improved so much. So far, the only thing I see in Evernote that I really need and don't see in Notes is how to get an occasional gmail email forwarded over to Notes.

There is no share menu in gmail so I tried print to pdf. I can print to Evernote there, but not Apple Notes. Is there some way to add that to the drop down menu? I tried just adding the Notes application but all that does is open Notes. I'd hate to have to configure Apple Mail just for this.

TIA for any suggestions. I'd love to save the $70/year I spend on EN!

I didn't have any success with Quick Notes - directly at least. But, I discovered two things while trying! First, I could do it with an Automator script, and second, I could "print" the message to a pdf in Preview from Chrome/Gmail and then share it with Notes. Automator is fewer steps but with the second method not only do I have it in Notes, but I can Title, Tag it, put it in a notebook or even append a different note. THAT is slick and I think will be worth the extra steps.

At least until I defect over to Safari, which will be sooner rather than later the way Chrome hogs all my resources. Thanks!

If by Gmail you mean the web portal, I have no idea how that would work. I doubt there would ever be a way too use the sharing extensions to do that, but Gmail would have to create the extension. Usually, those extensions are embedded within the app bundle, so unless Gmail has an app, there wouldn't be a way to install the extension (I think).

You can share a web page to Notes, but that would assume an individual Gmail message has its own web address.

In Mail, you just drag the message into the Note and it creates a link.
