Update what on a 2011 iMac? If you are referring to Mac OS, 10.13.6 is the end of the road. If you are referring to RAM you can install up to 32GB of RAM I believe and that is all the upgrading it can do.


Due to it's age, I think you may want to start seriously considering replacing it with a newer Mac.
