Does MacOS Monterey work on MacBoop Pro Early 2015

Can I upgrade to Monterey on a MacBook Pro Early 2015?

Will it run slower than Big Sur?

Has anyone had problems upgrading?

Will it be difficult to go back to Big Sur if I have problems with Monterey?

macOS Monterey is compatible with the following computers. If your Mac isn't compatible, you might be able to install an old version of macOS instead.

MacBook introduced in 2016 or later

MacBook Air introduced in 2015 or later

MacBook Pro introduced in 2015 or later

Mac mini introduced in 2014 or later

iMac introduced in late 2015 or later

iMac Pro introduced in 2017 or later

Mac Pro introduced in 2013 or later

View the complete list of compatible computers.

If upgrading from macOS Sierra or later, your

Mac needs 26GB of available storage to upgrade. If upgrading from an

earlier release, your Mac needs up to 44GB of available storage.

A general rule is to NOT upgrade while an issue exists

in the system presently in your Mac. This only clouds

a chance to resolve an issue, within its natural setting.

And some older Macs generally are marginal at best

where a newer cutting-edge macOS is concerned.

The best advice (short of reinstalling an even older

macOS Catalina -- requires backups and new install)

..Is to attempt to resolve Big Sur by using full new

install of Big Sur; as the 'newest updates' may fix it.

Each step within the system build may not have worked

so if there's an issue in Big Sur, resolve it from there.

Good luck & happy trails! ☺︎
