name of my road has CHANGED
how can i get Maps to stop listing it as "Ken Manley Rd" and start using the new, correct name, "Lick Skillet Lane"?

You haven't mentioned the device you have:
On an iOS device search for the street name then when it is found touch on the ellipsis to the right of the travel duration. This brings up a list of options. Choose Report an Issue and select from the options which follow.
On a Mac choose Help from the Maps toolbar, then Send Maps Feedback. This will launch Feedback Assistant and you may need to use your Apple ID credentials to sign in. Choose MacOS then fill out the form which presents.
I reported an error in a local street name and after a week or two it was corrected.
