Macbook automatic time wrong

My macbook pro is setting date and time automatically, but it is running about 3' ahead of my iphones, which are also set automatically (the phones have the right time). That gap has been widening over the past few months. Any thoughts?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

If automatic is not working for you — then change to manual by unchecking the box...

If necessary you can re-sync to Apple's Time server from the Terminal.app copy & paste:

sudo sntp -sS time.apple.com
