How do I download and install macOS Big Sur 11 after the release of macOS Monterey 12.0.1?

I am currently using Catalina and need to upgrade. But I would like to upgrade to Big Sur instead of Monterey. What is the best way to download and install Big Sur?

I have already visited https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT21168, but the links to the past macOS are broken. Any other ideas?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on Big Sur. If you find the link is still broken, replace the https with macappstore in the address.

Clicking Big Sur opens the App Store with Big Sur. When I click on Get, it opens System Preferences > Software Update and I get a pop-up with title 'Update not found.' Pop-up says 'The requested version of macOS is not available.'

When I click OK on the pop-up, the Software Update shows the current macOS Monterey 12.0.1 option.

The 'more info' shows Catalina security update 10.15.7 and Safari 15.2 update.

Any other ideas?
