Locked Used iPad

I recently bought a used iPad. It is locked, and I don't know the name, much less the log in information of the previous owner. What can I do? Is it possible to wipe all the data on it and start over?

As stated above, return for a refund.


Activation Lock is intended as a theft deterrent, and is deliberately difficult to bypass.


We can’t help you bypass Activation Lock, and—without original purchase receipts receipts you won’t have—Apple won’t help.
