Update Numbers

Check the App Store to see if any app updates are available; it's also possible that the newer versions of Numbers are incompatible with your device. iOS runs iPhones (iPads run iPadOS). Your Mac runs macOS.

Is your M1 Mac itself up-to-date? There was an OS update not too long ago. The current macOS is 12.1 (21C52) on my Intel Mac mini. That's the build number in parentheses which you can find by clicking on the OS version in "About this Mac" under the Apple menu.

If your OS is up-to-date & Numbers still crashes, delete it from Applications & re-download it from the Mac App Store.
