Why am I getting emails from AOL email accounts?

Why am I getting junk mail from AOL email accounts that are not mine? Since the new update I am getting way more junk mail from several AOL accounts that are not mine and I have no way to stop them.?

How can these be stopped?

If Junk mail is not working for you as expected you can turn it off in Mail>Preferences.

You have the option of installing a third party spam filter. ex.

Wait it out. They will eventually stop.

I'm not sure why you are concerned with the emails are not from your account. All of the emails I get are not from my account as I don't send myself emails. Email headers can be forged quite easily. The "sender" and "reply to" addresses are generally not reliable to determine the source of the spam.
