Please what does ‘ unable to verify update , iOS 15.2 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet ‘ means

I’m having no service because it was written on the screens of the phone that my iPhone will be unable to make calls & receive texts or use cellular data until it has been updated whilst there is a SIM card in the phone
You need a cellular network connection to complete the update. The phone is attempting to verify with the carrier, and failing because you have no service.
