I have a series one and forgot the password. I’ve accidentally locked down the watch trying to guess the code. It’s saying to pair to the old phone to unlock the ability to use the password but the old phone is gone and can’t pair it. How do I reset?

Try the 'How to reset your Apple Watch if you forgot your passcode' section in:

With a web browser, go to: https://www.iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Open Find My iPhone and select All Devices (at the top). Then click your Apple Watch, select 'Erase Apple Watch', and select Next until the device is erased. Finally click "X" next to remove your Apple Watch.

I’ve done the erase through find my phone but it’s saying that the erase is pending. I believe that this is because there is no connection to the internet to tell the watch that it’s been erased.
