Time machine

I am trying to restore a Time Machine backup to a new external hard drive. It works except there appear to be two files that can't be copied, so it just stops. It tells me the names of the two files, but, of course, they can't be deleted from the Time Machine backup.

Setting aside that this is a dumb way to run do backups if Time Machine can't ignore bad files, but I need a workaround. I can't be copying one file at a time, it will take me hours to do that since it's my iTunes and Photos folders that are huge, which is why they're on an external drive.

Any suggestions?

You could try copying the folders directly (i.e. without Time Machine) from the latest backup (excluding the problem files if necessary). Also, Migration Assistant has some options for selecting what data to recovery.
