I have transferred data to new phone but all calls and texts are going to old phone

As you carefully follow all the steps in the article linked above (and the articles it refers to), perhaps you overlooked this essential step (or its equivalent):

Did you sign out on the old device? from iCloud go to setting and sign out or take out the sim card

Have you transferred your SIM card and/or activated the new device with a carrier?
