Recently, the mail on my Iphone stopped syncing with the mail on my MacBook - can anyone assist?
I use Gmail/Apple mail. IMAP and POP are both enabled. I have not considered that using an iCloud address, but that would seem to make sense. Is there a way to direct the mail that comes to my current gmail address to my new ICloud address?

Sure. Check Google’s gmail help. Here’s a snippet.
IMAP and POP are both enabled.
That is not possible. They’re mutually exclusive.
