I gifted my old mini iPad to my granddaughter and I did receive support from on how to take all of my information off the iPad and the6 told me it should be easy to set up.

Which model iPad Mini is it? Which iOS version is running on it?
I am asking because if the iPad Mini is the first generation iPad Mini introduced first in 2012 and then discontinued in 2015, then it is probably running iOS version 9.3.5.
If my assumption above is correct, then there are very few apps that are still available and run on the iPad Mini 1st generation in 2021/2022. You can open Settings ➔ General ➔ About to find out specific information on the model of your iPad Mini.
