Worth upgrading from a Macbook Pro 16 (2000)

I have a MBP 16 inch with 2.4 Ghz 8 core of intel i9 32 ram AMD Radeon Pro graphics card with 8 GB 5500.

All is good (if noisy at times) and it burns through tasks like 4k video rendering in a fantastically pleasing way.

Here's the thing, I realise now I would prefer a 14 inch for the smaller size. Does anyone know whether the top of the range configuration of a 14inch MBP with a new Apple processor M1 or M2 or whatever would match the performance of the MBP 16.

Any thoughts really welcomed.

Regards

Danny

Hi Danny:

In the title of your post, did you mean MacBook Pro 16in (2020) and not (2000)? I believe you meant 2020.

You have a very capable machine. I understand that you interest in the smaller screen size (14 inch) that come with the M1 Silicon Chip. You can compare the 2021 M1 Mac models here ➔ Compare Mac Models.
