Full Screen Flickering on Hulu, Netflix, etc.

Every time I go watch a movie/show in fullscreen there is a random black flickering that happens every like 15 seconds. This only happens on movies/shows. When I watch a regular youtube video in fullscreen nothing happens, or when I use it regularly there is no random black flickers. I have updated the MacOs, tried to reset the NVRAM/PRAM chip. Nothing seems to work. I have a macbook air 2015. Anyone know of a solution or have the same issue? Thanks

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.1

"Full Screen Flickering on Hulu, Netflix, etc.: Hello, The router is good, and I've even taken my laptop to work to see if I can fix it there but the issue is still there even on a different wifi connection. I didn't have this issue up until three weeks ago."

If so, then this may be a bug. So, contact these sites/channels and see if they have yet to do their part in compatibility. In the mean time, try reinstalling the macOS. It may not have gone through successfully....

Reinstalling the macOS:

If that application cannot be opened 100%, then you may need to reinstall the macOS. The upgrade may not have been 100% successful.

1. First, Back up your Mac:

Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall.

2. Then, Reinstall the macOS:

Nothing would be deleted. It's just that items that have become corrupted or deleted, would be replaced or reinstalled back to where they should be. Go Here: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support

Always Back Up:

Take this as a learning experience, knowing to always create a Time Machine backup of your Mac prior to installing and upgrade, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the transfer.

Router Streaming being the Culprit:

Sounds like a steaming issue. So, how fast is your router? Is it intended for streaming content? If not, upgrade your router to one that is.
