I cannot make calls or receive calls on my iPhone. I tried to update and it won’t let me update. What do I do

If you can receive calls but continue to have calls failed, make sure that you are updated to the latest iOS for your device. If you continue to experience call failed, then contact your carrier for assistance.

That is not an iPhone error. Force Restart the iPhone to get rid of it. Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Can you provide a screenshot of the exact error you are seeing? This may help, since it would seem the Related Article you came to the forum with did not help.

I have a similar problem but the difference would be that mine can receive calls but i cant make any calls it always brings call failed its been doing this for 3 days now let me attach a picture

I updated my ios and it persisted but when i put the sim card in another phone it made calls freely so the problem might not be with the carrier
