Way to make time permanently visible

Is there a way to make the time in the top left corner of the iPhone permanently visible? In certain apps, it disappears and it would be nice to be able to see the time without having to exit out apps.

That is determined by the app developers.

You can swipe down the Notification Centre and it should not stop the app
