Samsung Printer - “BasicOptionPDE.bundle” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software

Hi. I get this message every time I try to print to my Samsung M2070. I click on OK and can then print as usual. However, the message is a minor irritant:



I realise that HP/Samsung need to update the driver (I believe for M1 Macs) but since I'm able to print and scan using the outdated driver without problems, is there anyway to make this message disappear?

I found that simply deleting the file solved the problem. It is here:


Macintosh HD/Library/Printers/Samsung/UPD/PDEs

The universal driver is the one I downloaded. It's great that it works, but annoying that the “BasicOptionPDE.bundle” message appears every time I print.


Like I said, it's only a minor irritation having to click twice, once to clear the message and then to print but I can live with it.
