Where are Time Machine backups filed on my iMac?

I am having difficulty locating the Time Machine backup files on my iMac since installing macOS Catalina version 10.15.7. I open the library but I am not finding the backup files. Help! My late 2013 iMac cannot be upgraded beyond Catalina.

Time Machine will back up to the drive that you identify in the Time Machine interface. That could be a number of different locations, including a directly attached external drive, a Time Capsule or NAS.

Have you simply used System Preferences > Time Machine to see where you have TM backing up to?
